Research On Process Optimizing For Software Product Development Of CE Company

Product development ability is the core competitiveness of an enterprise mainly, especially for software companies. But the present situation of the domestic software product development is not optimistic. Authoritative survey shows that about 70% of new product development projects beyond the estimated time schedule, more than 90% of the R&D project development costs over budget, and about 60% or more of the new product contributes nothing or is inevitable end. Probably only about 15% of new products can provide a better income. The leading cause of these problems is the product research and development management level of domestic software enterprise is not high. International R&D management level is divided into five grades. The R&D management level of the most domestic enterprises is in grade 2, while the average R&D management level of high-tech enterprises in America is in grade 4 or so. The gap between the two is obvious. It needs to take 10 years to close the gap between the two, even in the ongoing R&D management of change and improvement.IPD(Integrated Product Development) is a set of new product R&D management pattern, idea and method, the rise in the 20 th century, Western companies, the first success in IBM. Its main idea can be summarized as follows: customer demand is the guidance, develop products by market driven. The new products development is regarded as an investment to manage by enterprises.Firstly, this paper introduces the theory of project management and IPD, and introduces the basic situation of software development in CE company. Then, it analyses the reason of the failure of product XX in CE, and sums up the main problem and the reason of the product development management in CE by combining the theory of IPD.In this paper, it puts forward a set of suitable for CE’s product development process through combining the theory of IPD and the present situation of CE. And this process is applied to the product development process of upgrade of XX. After IPD system achieving partial success in CE, it is applied to the whole company and some effects has been achieved.Product development management change in CE adopts a series of methods and measures, these methods and measures are fully explained and summarized in this paper. Final conclusion: IPD theory is suitable for software product development management, and the implementation of product R&D management is systematic that touches the interests of all levels and departments of enterprises. Comprehensive change must be supported by a full range of change in one enterprise, include: market management changes, organization changes, and establish an integrated product platform and technology R&D platform and so on.
