Research On Integrated Product Development Management Mode Of A Company

With the development of IT and encouraging innovation environment of China,more and more people start doing their own business and join the ranks of start-up companies.Nowadays,the globalization process continues to advance,which means that enterprises are not only competing with local enterprises,but also with global enterprises in the same industry,which is undoubtedly a great challenge for start-ups.Overall,there is still a big gap between Chinese enterprises and western developed countries in terms of management.Either Chinese enterprises have no management concept in place,or lack management experience.In this case,those companies are bound to lose competitive advantage in management.As a management system,the science-based method and advanced concept of integrated product development(Hereinafter to IPD)have been fully proved.It’s been told by practice that it can bring benefits to enterprises,and has been widely promoted and applied in western developed countries.After Huawei introduced IPD in 1999,more and more domestic enterprises began to implement IPD integrated product development process.But among those enterprises,most of them are medium or large one,few start-up companies.This study starts from different product development theories,then in-depth study of IPD theory,analysis of the motivation to implement IPD,as well as the risks and obstacles to implement IPD.And taking COMPANY A as the example,to study the management methods which are the best for the startup companies.Firstly,simply introduces company A,then analyzes the problems existing in company A’s development and management,and finally introduces IPD practice of company A.The purpose of this study is to explore an operable integrated product development process which is suitable for startup enterprises,and hope to provide reference and example for this type of enterprises through the IPD practical case in A Company.
