Keeping the harmony of quality and quantity of resources,population,ecological and economy is the key focus of sustainable development to countries and regions.Poyang lake zone which has rich resources plays an important role in the building and construction of ecological economy and society under the national strategy.The region has got a great progress in resources exploiting and sustainable development of social economy.With the development of industrialization and urbanization,the region is facing several problems,such as decline in abundance,the rapid augmentation of the population and pollution of the ecological environment.Jiangxi province has become one of demonstration zone of ecological civilization on November 20 th,2014,which puts forward a higher requirement to the concept that “pursue the treasures,respect the blue hills and green streams” to Poyang Lake Zone.The present situation of eco-economic system of resources exploiting in Poyang Lake Zone was discussed in the paper,defined model purpose and system boundary,according to the complex nonlinear characteristics of giant system,and the condition of population,resources,and environment of the ecological economic man hypothesis,then combined with economic development goals.The giant system was divided into four sub-systems,which includes mineral resources exploiting,population construction,economic development and ecological environment protecting.With the method of system dynamics and Vensim PLE,designed cause-and-effect relation chart and flow chart of the subsystems,the SD model of each sub-system has been synthesized or optimized,established eco-economic system model of mineral resources exploiting in Poyang Lake Zone.Taking copper and copper industry data as base data because of their comparative advantage,combined with related statistics,then tested scientificity and feasibility of SD model through historical data from 2010 to 2013,the prediction results were obtained by operating the model.It showed the developing trend of eco-economic system of resources exploiting in Poyang Lake Zone from 2014 to 2030.Adjusted the main policy parameters,designed four main development patterns which include the maintaining status quo,the development priority,the resource environment priority and the coordinated development.In the end,the SD model has simulated the implementationeffect of each development pattern.The following conclusions are found:according to the current status,the region will present several problems,such as decline in abundance, pollution of the ecological environment,couldn’t support the sustainable development of social economy.under the coordinated development pattern,the total maintain reserves of copper will reach 25.14 million tons in 2030,which can be improved by16.4% comparing with the current status,the copper concentrate production can be improved by7.3%,GDP can be improved by 9.3%,and the industrial solid wastes will fall by 7.4%.While these could promote the intensive utilization of resources,the appropriate growth of population,the efficient development of the economy and protection of the ecological environment,so the coordinated development pattern will be the optimal patter.Based on the research results,the measures such as intensive utilization of mineral resources and ecological environmental protection are suggested.In addition,the research results could supply reference to the construction of eco-economic zone and demonstration zone of ecological civilization for Poyang Lake Zone.
