In the rapid development of China’s national economy advantage background, China’s pharmaceutical industry has been one of the fastest growing industries in the national economy. Further, the pharmaceutical industry is also increasingly subject to the government’s attention, and it is directly related to people’s physical health and living standards. As a small and medium enterprises in the pharmaceutical industries, Shanxi Hongli Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is set up for a short time, and has small-scale. Compared with the well-known pharmaceutical companies, the company’s overall competitive level is still at the low level, the main fundamental reason is that company system has disadvantages, the level of internal performance management is backward and the efficiency of the operation is not high. The company for all types of pharmaceutical-related products is mainly personal selling, so Shanxi Hongli Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. must do better in performance management and performance appraisal of company marketing staff, in order to increase fastest in the market share of the enterprise and improve enterprise core competitiveness and profit margins.This paper focuses on the marketing staff, first introduced the definition of performance, performance appraisal management, related theory. Second, according to the actual situation, the paper pointed out the problems of enterprise performance assessment making and application, including marketing staff performance evaluation issues, making clear the shortcomings of the assessment mechanism used in the marketing staff. To improve this situation, I use the scientific method as the basis for the company’s marketing staff performance evaluation index system, from the objectives, content, methods, to the processes and other aspects. I adjusted and improved the system combing with the actual situation. Consequently, what I do promote the good development of performance appraisal system and make it have scientificalness and usefulness. Meanwhile, the paper put forward the corresponding safeguard measures made a prediction after implementation. The purpose of this paper is to do a deeper research and analysis, combined with related theory, in order to improve the rigor and performability of performance appraisal system of marketing staff in Shanxi Hongli Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The company is currently in a critical period of development, only to help it optimize performance management system, in the process of performance management operating, on the one hand to improve the organization and management skills of managers, on the other hand to achieve the purpose of improving staff skills, and ultimately in terms of personnel and management two aspects to improve the core competitiveness of enterprises, the company gains a firm foothold in the fierce competition and achieves strategic objectives.
