Inventory management is a key issue to every administrator in their daily management, the effective inventory management can make the enterprise use the minimum inventory to satisfy the needs of the manufacture and raise the consumer satisfaction. The effective inventory management also can improve the capital management efficiency, strengthen the profitability, and reduce operational risk to enhance the ability of market competition.The A Company is the leading enterprise of the China tobacco. Accompanied by the advancing of the brand development strategy, the old inventory management of the auxiliary material is dissatisfy require of the flexible production, such as, the antiquated inventory management strategy, and the unreasonable inventory structure etc. This essay is discuss the optimizing inventory management of the A company. First of all, I summarize the disadvantage of the inventory management in the A company. Secondly, I propose a strategy of the inventory optimization and the measures, for example, using the ABC classification method to classify the inventory of the auxiliary material, and then, to implement the(t,R.s) strategy in the category A, and the(R.Q) strategy in the category B and C, use the Time Series Forecasting Method to forecast the Demand trends, raise the forecast accuracy, using full set inventory management and JMI.
