Located in the Southwest of China, not only is Chongqing the first Chinese city for highest GDP growth rate in 2015, and one of the cities with the brightest prospects of economic development, but it is also the only municipality without a developed Korean industrial market. Along with the promotion of the image and popularity of the city, Korean enterprises’ attention towards Chongqing has been increasing year after year. Moreover, the rise of this kind of attention, can further increase the popularity of Chongqing, which positively affect the tourist industry between Chongqing and Korea. Over the years, Korean tourists are proportionally some of the greatest tourists entering China. In 2005, 25 years after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, South Korea overcame Japan as the first country of origin of tourists entering China. Indeed, Chongqing and Korea enjoy a long-standing and deepening association: their trade relations are increasing, becoming more intimate and interconnected. Multiple places were bonded as exchange areas or concluded amicable networks, such as: the Buan County in North Jeolla Province, South Korea and the Wulong County in Chongqing; the central district of Busan, Korea and Jiulongpo district in Chongqing; the city of Gwangju city, Korea and the Southern district of Banan in Chongqing, and amongst many others.The Furong Cave in Wulong County was opened to the public on the 1st of May 1994; a tourist destination for more than 20 years. However, South Korean tourist resources in the Wulong international tourism market have always been underdeveloped, in fact the total amount of Korean tourists that visit Wulong is less than ten thousand people. Therefore, the vigorous development of the Korean tourists has an extremely crucial influence on the continuous improvement or development of Wulong inbound tourism, and it can also simultaneously boost the constant and stable development of Wulong tourism. Nevertheless, Korean tourists resources have always been very fluctuating, not only have they experienced a very slow increase, but they also have shown an high instability. Therefore, the stable and expanding presence of Korean tourist resources in Wulong will have a great/significant influence on the sustainable development of the inbound tourism of Wulong County.Based on researching the results from the relative theory, this paper aims at researching the South Korean tourist market in Wulong County. According to market surveys and historical records, this paper researches and analyses the characteristics of South Korean outbound tourists and South Korean tourists to Wulong, aiming to an indepth structural analysis of Wulong specific local conditions and of its Korean tourist market, as a basis for proposed measures to develop and expand the Korean tourist market in Wulong. This article seeks to provide some useful references for the development of policy Wulong Korean tourist market, and to make certain theoretical contributions about the development of inbound tourism in Wulong. This reseach paper is divided into six parts as follows: the first chapter is an introduction of both the current situation of international and domestic inbound tourism, as well as the background topic of this paper, the significance of this research, its methods and ideology. Moreover, the first chapter presents the theoretical foundations of the research, the most important one being the consumer behavior theory. The second part is aimed at the research of the current situation of Korean outbound tourism, through data collection from the amount of the Korean outbound tourism, the destinations and alternations of spending amounts, as well as the distribution of the places of tourist resources and the trends of the tourists’ behavior and other aspects. The third chapter provides an introduction of the tourist market of Wulong County, including the current situation and issues of the Korean tourist resources market in this area. The fourth part, by means of data collection and sample survey, makes an analysis of the features of Korean tourist market in Wulong, including the change in the characteristics and number of the Korean visitors, and the main characteristics of the consumers behavior. The fifth chapter proposes appropriate measures and countermeasures for the development of the Korean tourist market in Wulong. Finally, the sixth part includes the conclusion and the general summary of the entire paper. In addition, it points out the huge potential of the Korean tourist resource market in Wulong, it also proposes the measures that ought to be adopted for the development of tourist market of this county, it promotes the stable and continuous rise of the Korean tourist resource market, and it finally helps the sustainable development of the inbound tourism of Wulong County.
