Measure Research On The Development Level Of Shaanxi Road Freight Industry

Road freight industry is a basic industry which promotes the development of national economy, and shoulders the mission of supporting economic development and servicing the livelihood of the people. When the Chinese economy enters the new normal, the traditional operation mode of road freight industry can’t meet the development of national economy and l the personalized requirements. Therefore, the road freight industry needs to clear its position and characteristics. It must adapt to the new normal actively. The transitional development of road freight industry is driven by the new normal economic and Internet + logistics.The development level of road transport is one of the important symbols which measure a region or a country’s economic development degree. This paper describes the current situation of road freight industry in Shaanxi Province, and points out the uncertainty of development level position in the whole country. Measuring the road freight industry development level scientifically is an important step. It is very significance in theoretical and practical to establish a scientific and accurate evaluation system.the paper select 20 indexes from five aspects, such as the level of social economy and cargo demand, the infrastructure construction and investment, industrial service capacity and scale, the information level and cargo security. Then, the evaluation index system of road freight development level is established. In order to measure the Shaanxi road freight development level, this article collects related index dates from the two aspects of vertical and horizontal. For vertical section, grey comprehensive evaluation method based on grey correlation degree is used to depict Shaanxi road freight development trend. For horizontal section, the factor analysis by SPSS software is used to calculate the factor score. Finally, it can judge and compare the ranking of Shaanxi road freight development level by cluster analysis. The article analyzes the development level of Shaanxi road freight from the aspects of qualitative and quantitative and put forward restriction factors and suggestions.
