The continuous annealing line is an important section in cold strip produce, and has several advantages, such as short flow, high yield, good quality etc. It can't be replaced in producing high surface & strength quality strip. We must base on the global view of control system to research the control strategy and precision, in order to obtain high stability and high efficiency in the line running. The exit section is the last process of the continuous annealing line, which has the characteristics of high rhythm and precision, so the quality of the exit control system is a critical key to guarantee the stability and efficiency of line and the quality of strip.The main idea of this article is to analyze and research the automatic control system of exit section of the continuous annealing line of Xinyu cold mill.As the independent consciousness of creativeness improved, some companies have changed from the phase of introduction, digestion and absorption to the phase of independent research and development and innovation.The continuous annealing line becomes localization step by step now. This article is based on the research of exit zone control system of Xinsteel continuous annealing line, which has the reference value to make the continuous annealing line become localization.(1) Giving a brief introduction of the process in exit section of the continuous annealing line of Xinyu cold mill, and analyzing the hardware of the automatic system, including the hardware of PLC on site, drive equipments and multilayer structure of network.(2) Researching the tension control strategy in exit section particularly. Specially analyzing the implement of coilers and loop's tension control and offset methods, and verifying the stability and precision of the control system by the real data PDA on site.(3) Introducing the principle of the pinpoint control of the strip tail in two different whipping mode, and analyzing the dual-velocity control strategy of the ejecting car. Finally verifying the performance of the system by real data PDA on site.(4) Giving a detail design of the control system of flying shear, loop and velocity switch, particularly researching the control principle and calculating method of flying shear's PID controller and velocity's switch controller.(5) Verified by the real data PDA on site, the result will show that the control system has good control performance and the algorithm is efficient and accurate, which have the higher reference value for technical persons who are engaged in researching on related technology.
