Taiping Houkui is one of the famous flat green tea. Compared with other famous tea, it has the characteristics of two leaf buds hold, flat straight, meanwhile the tea water has the characteristics of clear and bright, heavy and mellow, sweet aftertaste, and becomes popular with consumers. As the traditional handmade crafts are very complicated and the modified production process is widely used, it is only achieved partial mechanization in the flattening molding and other processes. There still exists many problems such as the low degree of automation, labor-intensive, low productivity, high production costs, difficult to achieve cleaner production and standard production in the manual or semi-automatic production process and so on. Aiming at solving the above problems, combining with Xuancheng science and technology projects and the company commissioned projects, using the modern design theory and control technology, the Houkui tea automated production lines is researched and designed, especially for pre-molding, automatic typesetting, mesh handling, tea drying and other key parts are studyed and investigated in more detail.Firstly, according to the analysis of the traditional craftsmanship of Taiping Houkui tea and the requirements of Houkui tea in each craftsmanship, the new craftsmanship of Houkui tea is designed, the overall design scheme of the automatic production line is determined. Secondly, on the basis of comprehensive analysis of the action requirements of each key part, the new pre-molding mechanism is designed, so the shaping effect of tea is effectively improved. Meanwhile the feed drive mechanism of automatic typesetting, the lifting mechanism and clutch mechanism of mesh handling, and the key components of spin drying are designed and calculated in detail and mapped out the corresponding models of three-dimensional solidand assemble. Then according to the requirements of temperature and humidity in the drying process and the problem of temperature and humidity coupling in the drying unit, the method of the self-adjusting Fuzzy-PID and the feedforward decoupling control is proposed. Using the Matlab software to set up the system model, the simulation is conducted and results show that the control method has better temperature and humidity control and decoupling effect in the drying system. According to the processing-requirement of Houkui tea automatic production line, the hardware framework of control system is determined and the key hardwares are selected and designed, the control flow charts of control system are designed and the monitoring interface is developed base on MCGS touch screen. Finally, the thesis makes a summary for its contents and makes a prospect of the future of the production line designed.Some of the research results are applied in factory. The actual operation shows that the productivity and quality of Taiping Houkui tea are greatly improved, and the key mechanisms work reliably and meet the production needs. While for the research of drying system, the simulation results show that the feasibility of control method and it laid a good foundation for the development of prototype. The work of the thesis also has a good reference for the research and development for the automatic continuous production system of other flat tea.
