In this paper,the needs of optimizing the DCS control system for the pulping and papermaking industry were described,and the development trends of the DCS control system in the future were analyzed.Under the current environment of the economic downward pressure becoming larger,it has important significance to optimize and improve the DCS control system of manufacturing processes for the pulp and papermaking enterprises.The key links of the DSC control system of manufacturing processes for the pulp and papermaking enterprises and also the factors that affected the qualities of the products were analyzed.Controlling ratio of the pulps and beating concentration to improve the quality of beating,and controlling sizing process,steam pressure,and slurry flowing process are the key control points of DSC.Meanwhile,the important aspects of the optimal design of DCS control system for the pulping and papermaking process were pointed out,and the application prospects of the DCS control system in the pulping and papermaking industry were summarized.The optimization scheme and hardware composition of the DCS control system were put forward based on the modification of 3200# paper machine and its general requirement for the DCS control system.Furthermore,in order to reduce the cost and improve production efficiency,the control datum of the workshops were accessed to the ERP system.It was found that after the whole DSC control system was optimized,the running state of the paper machine was stable and the product quality has been improved.
