Using pneumatic wheel polishing technology in mold polishing can shorten the processing time and effectively improve the quality of the mold surface.Pneumatic wheel polishing technology controlled by robot of 6-DOFs that it is applied to remove the trace of previous machining process and obtain high quality surface.Flutter of the machine and the selection of process parameters can affect the finishing machining mold surface quality,leading to low machining efficiency.In order to solve such problem,this article firstly carry out simulation analysis of pneumatic wheel,then analyzing stress and the overall trend of pneumatic wheel by the rotation speed and air pressure effectively,in the end getting the better processing parameters.Then using modal technology can simulate and analyze dynamic characteristics of pneumatic wheel polishing tools,reducing the machine chatter by optimizing the main vibration components.Using the method of hammering to verify according to the experiment.Finally under the optimum rotation speed and air pressure,after optimization of pneumatic wheel polishing tool connection plate begin finishing processing experiment,high quality surface can be obtained.The main contents are as followed:(1)Pneumatic wheel model is set up and carry on the simulation analysis,analyzing stress and the overall trend of pneumatic wheel by the rotation speed and air pressure effectively,in the end getting the better processing parameters: 1500 rmp and 0.1MPa.(2)Setting up the finite element model of pneumatic wheel polishing tool,and carrying on analysis of the free modal and constraint modal.Designing appropriate modal test experiment system on base of pneumatic wheel polishing tool,then using the method of hammering on the modal experiment.Comparing with the finite element analysis,verifying the rationality of the finite element model and optimizing the parts of the main vibration plate.(3)Setting up pneumatic wheel finishing machining experiment platform,16 groups of experiments are carried out according to different speed and air pressure,by analyzing the experimental results,it is concluded that the better speed and air pressure,at the same time to verify the correctness of the pneumatic wheel finite element simulation.(4)Under the condition of optimum rotation speed and air pressure,after optimization of pneumatic wheel polishing tool connection plate begin finishing processing experiment,experimental results show that after the optimization of pneumatic wheel polishing tool during finishing processing can improve the quality of the material surface.This research could improve vibration and smooth processing using pneumatic wheel polishing tool,and it is also an optimized design of polishing method.
