The vigorous development of toy industry has brought abundance to the choice of toys for children.As the number of a child's toys grows larger,the storage of toys becomes a common problem for both parents and the child.Pre-school period is important for children to build their characters.In this period,children's encounter to their surroundings could impact their future development.Forming the habit of storage is of significance to children's sense of responsibility and logical ability,which is also what most parents value the most.At present,the function of toy storage device mainly focuses on where and how to store toys,but the design of which is not combined with the characteristics of the user accordingly.Pre-school children are unrestrained in behaviors,weak in mind,and hard to focus on one task.Simply putting toys away lacks fun for children.It is difficult for children to pick up their toys spontaneously.Therefore,through the study of preschool children's cognitive psychological characteristics and gaming behavioral characteristics,the habit of toy storage is built up in a fun way.The purpose of this paper is to provide a foundation for further study and systematic construction by exploring the developing trend and existing problems of toy storage devices on the market;study gaming preferences of pre-school children by analyzing their cognitive psychology and gaming behaviors;find out the true user need and build up user model through indoor observation,depth survey and questionnaires based on children's toy storage devices;build up product usage scenario based on user model and finally conclude the design conditions.Based on the design conditions,find the balance between gameplay and storage,integrate game content design with the process of toy storage.In the product system design,by setting up short-term and long-term stimulation on the toy storage device,the product will guide the children to put toys in order spontaneously.The design scheme will include hardware design and gameplay design,user interface design based on children's cognitive ability,user-friendly ergonomic and affectionate style design.The goal of the product is to create a children's toy storage system with usability and interest.
