With the rapid development of computer technology and virtual reality technology,the application scope and scale of virtual reality in various fields are constantly expanding.Virtual simulation experiment system is gradually replacing the traditional experiment teaching with its vivid visual effect,strong immersion,good interaction and extensible platform.It has become one of the research focuses of intelligent manufacturing system development.The mechanical engineering experimental teaching has problems such as high risk and extreme environment,the irreversible experimental operation,high cost,high consumption,the deficiency of experimental equipment and instruments,which make it difficult to meet the requirements of current experimental teaching.At the same time,the mechanical engineering experiments can not break the constraint of space and time,the micro phenomenon of experiment is poorly performed,and most of them are verification experiments.The single experimental teaching form,backward teaching means,poor teaching effect,make it hard to adapt to the need of the social personnel training.Therefore,the development of virtual simulation experimental teaching system with good interactive performance has important academic value and wide practical demand.With the help of virtual development platform and full use of the advantages of computer technology and multimedia technology,the virtual simulation experimental teaching system of punching process with high simulation and strong interaction has been constructed,which based on the analysis of the development of virtual reality technology at home and abroad and the problems in the traditional experiment teaching.The theory of graph transformation based on affine transformation principle has been analyzed,and the mathematic equation of matrix operation for translation,rotation and scaling of 3D model has been established.According to the study of virtual simulation system design software platform and Unity3 D engine technology,the construction of virtual simulation system has been determined based on UG,3ds Max and Unity3 D,and supplemented by Photoshop and Substance Painter.According to the characteristics of punching experiment,the overall design of the virtual simulation system of punching forming has been completed,and the development process of experiment system has been designed.The 3D model has been optimized by combining 3D geometric modeling and model simplification technology.The realistic virtual experiment scene and virtual device have been constructed by using the mapping method of 3ds Max to realized the texture mapping and using the light processing to express the surface details of the model.In order to achieve the purpose of good experimental teaching,the system has designed three different functional models,which are demonstration model,operation mode and cognitive mode.Combining with animation technology and collision detection technology in Unity3 D,the movement of virtual equipment,the interaction of virtual experiment and the roaming of experimental scene by first person perspective have been realized under the control of script.In the process of constructing the virtual simulation experimental system of punching,the key technologies involved are studied,including the key technologies of system hybrid modeling,the simplification and optimization of 3D models,the illumination and texture mapping,the animation technology,collision detection technology,the first person role controller and so on.The virtual simulation experiment teaching system for punching forming has been successfully built.The details of the experiment have been explored,such as the implementation of interactive modules,the design of system interface,the release of the system,the deployment of the platform and other technical details.The feasibility of virtual simulation experiment teaching system has been verified and the advantages of virtual simulation experiment teaching system for punching have been expounded.The virtual simulation experiment system of punching provides a vivid and realistic experimental environment,which has certain practical value for the auxiliary of machinery experimental teaching.It is of great significance to improve the experimental teaching effect and promote the experimental teaching reform.
