Automatic voltage control of power grid can effectively reduce the power loss, reduce the equipment movement number of times, to achieve optimization of voltage regulation and reactive power optimization control of the whole network, can provide strong technical support for reducing power loss and efficiency of work.Liaoning power grid is the load center of Northeast power grid, concentrated load, the power supply is insufficient and distribution is not balanced.Liaoning provincial electric power company developed a set of the closed loop system for automatic voltage control and reactive power with the Chinese Electric Power Research Institute in 2003.But with the development of grid structure and separation of power generation and transmission, AVC control strategy of provincial dispatching can not adapt to the requirements of the development of electric power system.This study from the actual operation situation of Liaoning power grid, from the current research results in related fields at home and abroad, was developed for Liaoning power grid AVC control strategy.The AVC of provincial dispatching control system framework was designed, select three level voltage control mode based on the "soft partition" as the AVC system structure, the control objectives and control mode is determined.The key technologies of AVC system are analyzed,and expounded the basic theory of reactive power balance and voltage regulation, establish the mathematical model of reactive power optimization, expounds the strategy of reactive power optimization of power plant and substation application. Aiming at the shortage of single objective optimization model for the AVC control strategy, a theory based on multi-objective reactive power optimization for the whole network, according to the voltage level balance, the same layer zoning control has been proposed. According to this idea of AVC control strategy, the provincial dispatching main station of AVC, power plant and AVC have same target to division of interaction and coordination, to improve the voltage quality of the whole network, and is conducive to the safe operation of the power grid voltage.Research on the reactive power and voltage distribution of Liaoning power grid provides a data basis for the AVC strategy reasonable.After the simulation experiment of the actual data of Liaoning power grid, the results show that the control strategy was improved obviously for the grid voltage stability and voltage deviation and the regional reactive power disturbance, AVC scheduling mechanism for provincial electric power dispatching requirements of safe operation for power grid voltage.The control strategy is applicable to the AVC requirements of provincial electric power dispatching organization, is conducive to the safe operation of the power grid voltage.
