Charging system is a prerequisite to develop electric vehicle. At present, China has been gradually started building electric vehicle charging system station. In some of our cities, has started to build electric vehicle charging pile, charging stations, however, the research on key technologies of the charging equipment is not deeply enough, related laws and policies is also needed to be improved. This limits the promotion and popularization of electric vehicles to some extent.these piles mainly installed in the car park and residential area, which is the main equipment of conventional charging for electric vehicles, contents of this paper include the following:(1)Firstly the overall structure of electric vehicle charging pile is given. Using Weinview's HMI MT6070 i H to design interface of the whole electric vehicle charging pile, the designed interface is a way the charging pile communicate with the users. The design of HMI interface should account for practicality and ease of operation. HMI accept user instructions, and then send commands to the main control board(2)Using ATmega16 L to design the main control board of the charging pile, Control board is to coordinate work throughout the AC/DC part and the DC/DC part, at the same time,the main control board achieve the communication between HMI and main control board, the main control board controls working procedures of the charging pile.(3)The paper designed the software of the control system, mainly the software of ATmega16 L,including AD sub-program, DA sub-program,also, the paper developed a three-stage charging mode control for lead-acid batteries using ATmega16 L.(4)Lastly, testing is doing on the electronic electric vehicle charging pile, including the design of HMI interface testing, and performance testing of the overall charging pile, the test results show that the Electric vehicle charging pile is easy to operate, and can work stable and with strong anti-disturbance ability to output full power.The test results show that the design of the electronic electric vehicle charging pile prototype can achieve good human-computer interaction, HMI's each interface can jump to one another according to the user's command, it can display charging process, error alarming and so on.The charging pile is with strong anti-jamming capability, output power 5KW, and reached the initial design proposed technical requirements.
