The force applied on gable is complex during the overall design of large dredger. The arrangement and geometry of gable greatly influence the design and selection from the mechanism,but also affect the stiffener arrangement and the moment distribution of turntable.Therefore fast and rational design is very necessary.The issue is based on optimization theory, the finite element theory and dynamics theory. The research on gable is combined with ANSYS, Matlab and ADAMS software, and focuses on the optimization design of geometry structure, finite element analysis and dynamic properties.The main work can be divided into the following areas:(1) The analysis of force applied on the boom and the gable, combined with the overall design of large dredger.(2) The geometry optimization model of gable is established in Matlab. The objective function is the quality of gable, and the design variables are the geometry of gable,such as width and height. In the model there are four constraints, the stability, stiffness, tension amplitude limit and the interference of the middle strut. In order to optimize the analysis,we use the fmincon function in Matlab. and make a pairwise comparison of three methods of analysis to verify the correctness of the optimization procedure and calculation formulas.(3) The results of the optimization model will go to optimize out back in the overall design of gable in the CAD, In accordance with the optimized parameters, i will establish the geometry optimized gable finite element model in the ANSYS. Check the strength and deformation, and thus the finite element model of the original intensity of the main section of the comparative analysis concluded.(4) The optimized finite element model of gable and the boom finite element model of the original design will be imported into the ADAMS to establish flexible body model; The turntable model is created in Solidworks and then will be imported into ADAMS. After the simulation analysis,i will get the time curve of the force of luffing rope, lifting rope and so on.I will calculate out the factor of domestic load, combined with domestic analysis. Further draw 10 hot nodes stress; and finally the force of the rope will be fed back to Matlab for further analysis.
