Research On The Health-oriented Evaluation Index System Of Pedestrian And Bicycle Transportation At Urban Residential Community

Industrialization and urbanization has improved the economic development, but also brought a deterioration of the urban environment. This constantly threats the public health, the people suffers from it. 1980 s, the rise of healthy city activity changed people's traditional concepts of health. The people realized that this problem is not limited to the healthy sector, the more it is affected by the surrounding physical and social environment, and these environmental factors are the roots which threat the public health. Therefore, public health is closely related to the healthy urban built environment. Only a healthy urban space environment can effectively guide the public health behavior, in order to improve the level of public health, and this is the fundamental solution which can solve the problem of industrialization and urbanization.The rise in car ownership highlight the unfair distribution of people and vehicles using the road, however the pedestrian and bicycle transportation system construction lag, the imbalance of the rapid transit and slow transit has become a serious impediment to the development of healthy city. In order to solve the urban traffic and pollution problems, the pedestrian and bicycle transportation system has been applied gradually all over the country. But Currently the studies related to the pedestrian and bicycle transportation system are less, especially on the healthy evaluation of the system which lacks the way of introducing the theory to the practice. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation of the pedestrian and bicycle transportation system need to be studied.First, we introduce the concept and characteristics of health, healthy cities, the pedestrian and bicycle transportation system,explain the meaning of the construction of the Health-Oriented evaluation index system of pedestrian and bicycle transportation at urban residential,and summarize the relevant planning policies, evaluation indicators. On this basis, we focus on in-depth analysis of the health effects of the pedestrian and bicycle transportation system at urban residential, and sum up this system content slow traffic environment, slow facilities environmental, slow landscape environment, slow security environment, slow comfortable environment and slow communication environment.Secondly, we describe the features and principles of evaluation index system, and through research and analysis of evaluation methods, we establish the evaluation index system using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process), and sum up the process of building the evaluation index system. We select and finally determine the evaluation index to establish the hierarchy evaluation index system. According to the evaluation criteria we quantify each evaluation index and put forward the evaluation standard. We distribute the indicators weight using AHP, give comprehensive evaluation and grading standards, complete the construction of the whole evaluation system.Finally, we use the Health-Oriented evaluation index system of pedestrian and bicycle transportation at urban residential to evaluate the healthy status of the Wuhan Van Ke City Garden, which will verify the feasibility and operability of the evaluation system. According this, we will analysis the existing problems and develop strategies of the pedestrian and bicycle transportation system.
