Bunker is an important structure commonly used in thermal power plants, in the current large-scale thermal power plant technology, side bunker mainly applied to the steel structure layout pattern of large coal bucket, but few examples of the use of reinforced concrete side bunker- reinforced concrete coal bucket structure of the program. Compared with steel coal hopper structure, this structure can make full use of side bunker room, effectively save the project cost and accelerate the construction progress, However, due to the structure of the side-bunker occur resulting in local stiffness increases more will cause a difference between the upper and lower, there may be more seismic response,more obvious to the steel coal hopper patterns,yet in-depth study of the seismic performance. Therefore, to study the structure has important theoretical and practical value in the seismic performance and seismic damage state. This paper focus on the calculation model of RC side-bunker structure, and under the action of earthquake and elastic-plastic time history analysis of the structure and the earthquake damage assessment, the main research work is as follows:(1) Based on the research background, summarized structural damage analysis and presented the research status of domestic and foreign scholars on the structure of thermal power plant.(2) This paper describes the typical earthquake damage model and the corresponding damage calculation method. Also this paper makes a systematic exposition of the material damage, local damage evaluation and overall evaluation of structural damage assessment. According to the damage forms of thermal power plant side bunker structure of main component, the concrete material damage as the target method is given to calculate all kinds of damage. Methods overall structural damage is proposed based on a weighted combination of elements.(3) The calculation model of thermal power plant side bunker structure by the finite element software ABAQUS, and the modal analysis and check under the action of earthquake dynamic elastic-plastic time history analysis, focuses on the study of deformation and damage of structure under earthquake, and the results were analyzed.(4) This paper considers the various components of the overall structure of the damage effect, introducing the importance coefficient calculation method of structural damage, which is more practical, more accurate results. With the presented key damage assessment method, based on component analysis of 7degree, 8degree rare seismic performance and damage assessment of structure under earthquake action, and this paper gives the suggestions to improve the seismic capacity of structures under rare earthquakes.Assess side bunker seismic performance of component-based damage to the approach angle clear thinking, higher precision, with some guidance for thermal power plant side bunker lifeline engineering design class.
