Design Strategies Of Rural Houses In Cold Area Ⅱ(A) Based On The Open Building Theory

In recent years, as the government has implemented a series of Preferential Policies in rural areas, the productivity level in the rural areas has been greatly improved. So those richer framers desire to improve their current living conditions and their desires become stronger and stronger. After the period of the Reformation, a new round of the farmhouse construction has reached a higher level. However, through the on-site investigation and visit, many problems were found in the constructing process of the farmhouse. The research object of this paper is focused on the low-rise farmhouse in the Cold Ⅱ Area (A). The paper is based on the current situation of the farmhouse construction, in order to figure out the outcomes through the open methodology for architectural design thinking. Based on those foundations, this paper emphasizes on applying the applicable methodology to achieve the appropriate strategy for the farmhouse construction, for the purpose to guide the current practice in the farmhouse construction. In this way, the problems existing in the farmhouse construction process could be resolved; at the same time the original rural cultural could be recovered gradually. Finally the organic and sustainable development of the rural farmhouse and building construction could be achieved.There are five chapters in this paper. Firstly, the first chapter introduced the research background and research object of the topic; also discussed the research purpose and research significance. Secondly, the second chapter carried out the related reviews of the open architectural methodology, including the development of the methodology and the current branches existing in the methodology. Also in this chapter we discuss the appropriate joint point between the theoretical methodology and the current situation of the farmhouse construction. The emphasis of this chapter is on the discussions and analyses for two case studies that based on the open architectural methodology. The third chapter focused on the introduction on the current situation and status of the farmhouse construction in the Cold Ⅱ Area (A). Through the discussion, the problems in the constructing process of the farmhouse were founded and analyzed. The last chapter is based on the system of the open architectural methodology for the farmhouse construction, in order to figure out the appropriate constructing regulation and building strategy for the farmhouse construction in the Cold Ⅱ Area (A). In this chapter, the researcher selected the real case study of single-floor farmhouse in Zhucheng City to verify the feasibility of the low-level farmhouse construction strategy. The last chapter the conclusion section, as the summary of the entire paper.
