In recent years,the construction of "special urban tourism fairway" booms in some areas.By combining with the characteristics of the urban riverways in these areas,the construction of a small water-saving ship lock on these fairways is conceived by related experts and scholars.However,this type of ship locks is seldom studied domestically and internationally.In this paper,by taking Guiyang's Nanming River as the research object,the hydraulic calculation and the software Abaqus uesd for the overall layout pattern,filling and emptying system layout pattern,and light-duty lock wall structure pattern of the ship lock to be built were studied.The ship lock shared one side of the lock wall with the water-saving pool,and combined into a shiplock with a water saving pool.The water saving pool and the shutter dam combine into a water system for the dual purpose of flood discharge.Ultimately,according to the different needs,taking different forms,the construction investment and the usable area of the riverways were reduced.A combined pattern of filling and emptying system was applied,which consisted of the end filling and emptying system with a short culvert and the filling and emptying system with a horizontal culvert in the center of lock chamber.The hydraulic calculation result showed the filling duration was 330 s,and the emptying duration was 335 s,meeting the demand for a one time lockage.In the process of water filling,the fluctuation frequency of the water level in the lock chamber also met with the requirement for ship berthing safety.The stability of the ship lock was calculated with software Abaqus.The numerical calculation results of the shared lock wall and the water-saving pool under the condition of rebar in or not were comparatively analyzed.Finally,the specific numerical values of the four mechanics indexes(i.e.compressive strength,tensile strength,horizontal displacement,and vertical displacement)were obtained,and compared with the standard strength.The rectangular thin-walled structure pattern meeting the prescribed safety requirements was verified from the perspective of numerical simulation.The plane layout pattern with “shiplock-water saving pool-shutter dam,a combined design for filling and emptying system of lock,and light-duty lock wall structure pattern were the core study results in this paper.The results can serve for theconstruction plan of the shop lock of Guiyang's Naming River,but more importantly provide valuable reference for the design and research of small water-saving ship locks,and also scientific advice for improving the systemic study of China's ship locks.
