From top to bottom,Baishiyao hub is the third of Hydropower station in Beijiang River.The first-line of Baishiyao ship locks which is reconstruction and the second-line of Baishiyao ship locks which is new built are parallel arrangement on the left bank.The first-line and the second-line of Baishiyao ship locks use the upstream and downstream approach channel in sharing.The two Baishiyao ship locks have different length, and they are in Ⅲ level.The requirements of designing: the time of filling and discharging is short,the traffic is big,and the strength is high.The two line of ship locks are used in long gallery manifold conduit system of the gate wall.The layout is relatively simple,butit is difficult to meet the hydraulics requirements,compared to the higher requirement of lock filling and discharging time,the conditions of the ship berthing, and hydraulic conditions of navigation in the upstream and downstream approach channels. It is very necessary to solve a series of hydraulic problems in the water conveyance system layout during operation process to make new two line of efficient, safe, smooth running.This two line lock water conveyance system is studied by building the basic of the second-line lock the overall hydraulic model and the optimization measures are put forward;The mathematical model of approach channel is set up,in order to simulation the flow condition in approach channel during filling and discharging of ship locks,and reveals the hydraulic characteristics,and provides a scientific basis to operation and design of ship locks.The experimental results showed that each part of the water conveyance is system reasonable arrangement and the water hydraulic characteristics indicators meet the requirements.We find that second-line water filling process have good condition of berthing in Lock chamber and ship’s mooring force is small.According to the characteristics of the flow conditions in the lower approach channel,through adjusting the second-line of Ship lock counseling wall,the flow conditions of the second lock emptying process in the waterway is improved and also meet the requirements of navigation flow condition. For the over filling,super drop phenomenon at the time when the second-line ship lock is filling and emptying, taking in advance to close the valve or open the miter gate flat the measures and so on, to decrease the value of the over filling, the super drop in the prototype run-time.Results of the two-dimensional unsteady flow mathematical model calculation show that lock water filling process of three kinds of operation conditions,Maximum level luffing of Working condition of each calculation in upstream approach channel is at about 0.15~0.28m/s.The velocity is At 0.3m/s~0.5m/s,meeting the requirements of the specification is not greater than 0.8m/s.lock water discharging process of three kinds of operation conditions,maximum level luffing of Working condition of each calculation in upstream approach channel is at about 0.25~0.39 m/s.The velocity is At 0.3~0.7m/s,meeting the requirements of the specification is not greater than 1.0m/s.So the prototype should avoid two line ship lock filling and drainage at the same time.
