Research On Green Renewal Design In Xiannong Business Area Of The Fifth Avenue Of Tianjin

Under China’s sustained economic growth and rapid urbanization, there are two parallel issues: protection and renewal of historic district, eco-city and green buildings. This paper tries to combine these two vital issues together and research green renewal applications for historic district. The research is based on the green renewal design in Xiannong Business Area of the Fifth Avenue of Tianjin. Firstly, the history and development of Fifth Avenue of Tianjin is summarized, as well as green evaluation criteria. Secondly, this paper study typical cases at home and abroad through literature research and field research to summarize ideas and strategies available for green renewal design. Finally, theories and green strategies are applied into green renewal design in Xiannong Business Area.The innovation of this paper is to inject the green concept into renewal design of historic district. On the other hand, the research method is innovative which applies green strategies to the renewal of historic district by considering historic preservation and geographical characteristics. This paper uses many methods, such as collections of information, case studies, field research, software simulation and engineering practice. Other ideas of architecture have also been introduced in this paper to broaden the depth and vision.
