| China has been facing the largest aging population problem in the world since 1999. By analyzing developed countries with aging population problem, it can be concluded that the aging population problem has a great impact on economy development. China has entered the fast-aging phase. In order to solve the aging population problem, a new document called the state council's advises on developing pension services has been announced. This document claims that pension services must be based on home, attached to communities, supported by organizations. It also demands that new districts and new communities must provide pension services. this article analyses successful communities for the elderly and studies on elderly communities.This article consist of 6 chapter.The first two chapter forms the first part of the article. The first two chapters introduce the basic method and the frame for the article. They make a general comment on Chinese elderly communities. Through comparing different elderly communities, the article raise the question on how to build elderly communities.Chapter 3 to chapter 5 consist the second part. They show different aspects of elderly communities, such as development mode, general design and architecture design. Chapter 3 focus on the emotional needs of the elderly. Chapter 4 focus on the key point in general design. Chapter 5 focus on the key point in architecture design.The third part is formed by chapter 6 and postscript. This part analysis my own elderly community project and gives a glimpse on the develop of elderly community. |
