In major urban rail vehicle traffic accidents is a major safety hazard for the vehicle wheel failure occurs, the entire weight of the body are acting on the vehicle wheel to the vehicle wheel and rail direct contact and by friction between each other in the city, traction and braking force generated between rail vehicles and rail continue to be passed. And the vehicle in the process of moving the wheel to bear on the same horizontal and vertical forces. Therefore, before loading on the wheel must be detected on the wheel assembly and production quality issues through effective means of detection. For diversification of China's railway transport vehicles, our existing locomotive drive devices running-in routine test stand has not adapted to the technical requirements for the test run closing subway, light rail and EMU wheels, for development of a new urban rail wheel vehicle traffic on the running-in test bench is imminent.This paper introduces the domestic and international round table on the testing of progress and development trend, a clear run-in test-bed for the importance and significance of urban rail vehicle wheel, for the overall design:1) The state of the test rig simulated urban rail vehicle is actually running on the gear box and axle boxes were running together. Independent structure, vertical arrangement. Driven by the inverter and the inverter motor loading alternative traction motors, and is equipped with a braking resistor, so start braking smooth and reliable.2) Design of Bench Test (including a base, activities axle box, adjustable motor bearings, gearbox lifting eye brackets, etc.), special tools, transmission and so on. Gearbox running-in test stand with flexible direct-attached drive (80 km), and is equipped with 80-160 km of transmission record. Running-axle box test bench using an elastic friction wheel drive, and research and develop a new long-acting polymer friction wheel.3) The use of sophisticated computer technology by Siemens PLC via Profibus bus to communicate with the inverter via TCP/IP protocol for data communication with the IPC, where the application of OPC technology; and collected signal parameters to the database SQL2000 save, management, analysis and display, complete the formation of irreversible visual charts. PC software for monitoring and control software under design and writing. Use STEP7 V5.4 software to complete the preparation of lower computer software program uses a trapezoidal manner; use Visual C # platform to complete the preparation of PC monitoring software, the PC can be achieved by monitoring and evaluation of test results during the test output and so on.This system has been put into operation more than a year,the use of good, stable and reliable system parameter measurement accuracy, flexible control interface, the user has been affirmed.
