With the continuous development of enterprise information construction,it has become the urgent needs of business process design that the CAD / CAM / CAPP systems are integrated into PDM platform.CAD / CAM / CAPP system and the PDM system integration not only unifies data,but also achieves data sharing.And the use of powerful PDM process management function can standardize business' s process design processes to improve efficiency of process design and shorten the development cycle.Based on an enterprise process design requirements for the Small-bore shells,in the Windchill environment,for CAD / CAM / CAPP systems,the paper carries out the intelligent process design and integration technology of the Small-bore shells applying the interactive way of the interface exchange and close integration.It improves the Small-bore shells' efficiency of design and production.The main research work includes following several:(1)To propose the overall program of the Small-bore shells' intelligent process design and integration,and carry out integrated analysis carefully.Comparison by three integration methods,the paper chooses a integrated method meeting the requirements of the enterprise,and establishes an effective integrated solutions.(2)To summarize the expert knowledge in the field of the Small-bore shells,then to establish routing knowledge engineering by using expert system development tool DEST.Through knowledge's reasoning,the paper achieves automatic generation of intelligent process route,and it provides a basis for the integration of small caliber artillery intelligent routing design experts Systems and 3D process planning system and makes convenient for the editing and management in small-caliber shells routings.(3)To conduct three-dimensional parametric modeling of small caliber shells based on MBD model by using three-dimensional modeling system,and according to these parameters to proceed NC machining in Pro / E.After post-processing,the NC program will be imported into VERICUT for CNC machining simulation and its process fault detection,which will realize optimization of process routes.(4)small-caliber shells intelligent routing design expert systems,3D modeling systems,CNC machining simulation system,3D process planning systems and product data management system for secondary development,it achieves effective integration of CAD / CAM / CAPP / PDM's to realize the management of small-caliber shells full life cycle.Contents of this paper reflect the actual needs of enterprises,enriching the CAD / CAM / CAPP integration with Windchill application technology,providing a number of new ideas and implementation techniques for CAD / CAM / CAPP integrated application in the enterprise,and having a higher practical value and promotional value.
