With the rapid development of China's economy, the urbanization rate increased more and more, and the energy consumption resulting from buildings is also growing rapidly which has taken up a large proportion in the world's energy consumption, therefore retrofitting buildings to save energy is playing a much more important role. With the social development, building users possess higher demands for their working and living environment. To achieve the goal of energy-efficient building, many kinds of building equipment in different natures and functions have to be organically integrated as a whole into a intelligent information system, by operating which people can supervise and control building equipments in the system, giving users a green building with high security by providing intelligence in equipments and buildings which are energy-efficient and healthy. Under the circumstances, the Building Automation System(BAS) appears with the trend of the times.As the most important part of Intelligent Building(IB), BAS's major function is to monitor, supervise and control building equipments in buildings and meet the requirements of users as well. Meanwhile, it can cut down on the costs of operations and maintenance of equipment, and reduce energy consumption caused by misuse by optimizing the method of operation and management. BAS involves all aspects of construction equipment and is closely related to the feelings of users in buildings. BAS's operational function depends largely on its design quality and level of construction work because in IB it involves most equipment types and design workload, besides, it takes a great deal of coordination for its huge construction quantities.This paper focuses on the design and implementation of BAS in Production Control Center for Gansu Mobile after describing the history of IB and BAS, the major components, the system functions and implementation of BAS. The construction scheme representing concentrative monitor and separate control got proposed in the thesis, and Distributed Control System(DCS), Direct Digital Controller(DDC) are used to operate the system. The work is mainly indicated below:(1) The construction demand of BAS in Production Control Center for Gansu Mobile is analyzed. The author mainly analyzed the equipment in refrigeration station, air conditioning system, the fresh air supply system, water supply and drainage equipments and the power distribution equipments, the number of monitoring equipments needed by the subsystem of distribution equipments and each type of signal as well.(2) According to the project requirements, a system design was put forward that mainly includes the system overall design, the design of each subsystem, hardware configuration of equipment, control flow of each subsystem. The BAS got designed and implemented.(3) The completed overall system was tested and analyzed which includes the system login, equipment status monitoring, remote start-stop control to the equipment, equipment fault alarm, equipment monitoring of interface device. Test results showed that the system functions and the respective technical performance index of the system met objective requirements.(4) Taking the energy-efficient method as an example, the author analyzed the energy-saving effect arose from the use of BAS, and concluded that the energy saving ratio can reach up to 7.5%.
