In this paper, the objective function of the structure optimization design is studied. Firstly introduce the theory of optimum application in the engineering, which leads to the objective function of the design problem. Secondly in the foundation pit supporting structure optimization design use the process cost as the objective function, and based on the main part of retaining system and support system, establish the mathematical model of the objective function. According to the mathematical model, make the programming design through the JavaScript programming language, and use JavaScript language to realize the procedural of the target function of cost calculation process. The program can automatically calculate reinforcement, quantities, and generate cost result, and achieve rapid output from the variable input to the cost.With the relationship between the optimization design of structure and the project cost, firstly introduce the theory of optimum application in the engineering, which leads to the objective function of the design problem. There are two forms of variable input software, namely, input variables and text read interface which is the difference between the software and other software of the reinforcement and cost. This software can be combined with finite element analysis software ANSYS and ABAQUS, and the finite element analysis software ANSYS and ABAQUS can output the optimized result by text. Then the variable input mode of the software automatically read the text result, which can reduce the manual operation and improve the level of automation, After realize the docking port can be in the finite element analysis software ANSYS and ABAQUS, the calling program calculating the reinforcement and the cost of the results.Calculation result is the form of text output, with optimizing the structure workers, understand the economy results of the structural optimization to combine the economy and the of technical of the optimization design of the foundation pit supporting structure, in order to strive to improve the performance of structure during the process of structure optimization design and reduce the cost of structure targetsThe influence of the cross section size of the soldier pile wall, the strut and the capping beam on the objective function is different.Sensitivity analysis can through changes in the objective function to determine the degree of influence of each variable on economic indicators, and purpose is to qualitative or quantitative acquisition parameters to the target function of effect sizes, and subsequent optimization design to provide direction and to provide the basis for the optimized selection of objects.
