500kV Linhai Transformer Substation Expansion Project is to meet the needs of the coastal economic development zone in Lianyungang Province and the construction of large-scale power projects. The construction process of the project is uncertain and has a certain risk. For this reason, this paper for the 500 kV substation expansion project in Linhai has a study in management practice, the quality of the project, the cost and schedule of joint control and other key issues.Firstly, the general project schedule management, cost management and quality management principles, factors and measures were analyzed, the existing substation project management methods and theory research are introduced. Then combined with the 500 kV substation expansion project in Linhai, the characteristics of the substation project design and the concept of project management were proposed. Then, the construction schedule, cost management and measures, especially in the quality management process to take the relevant measures to be specific analysis of the introduction. Finally the use of earned value principle, is divided into four stages of 500 kV Linhai substation expansion project of schedule cost combined control, a detailed analysis of the causes of the deviation produced in the actual construction process, and proposes the corresponding corrective measures according to the specific circumstances.500kV Linhai Transformer Substation Expansion Project has been completed and put into operation. Some research results of this paper have been applied in the construction of the project and have achieved good results.
