Nowadays, with sharp increasing competitive pressure in the market, in order to react to the market rapidly, meet different customers' diversified and individualized demands, more and more manufacturing enterprises adopt a more flexible Mixedmodel assembly production line.By using the mixed assembly line, manufacturing enterprises can take advantage of the material and human resources, can also achieve multi-species mixed production in one production line, improve production efficiency and reduce production costs. Under mixed manufacturing environment, how to make a scientific and reasonable production scheduling to the different types of products has become an important issue. In the motor manufacturers mixed assembly line, the production line has characteristics with automated, semi-automatic, manual operation simultaneously. Good or bad scheduling order directly affects the productivity and quality of the assembly line under the complex and changing assembly line environment.Based on the related literature of mixed assembly line at home and abroad, this paper introduces the definition of mixed model assembly lines, production scheduling problems and the operation and solving methods, then analyses the relationship and differences between mixed production line balancing production and production scheduling problems. based on the former study this paper focuses the studies of scheduling problem. Production scheduling problem in the study, this paper establishes a mathematical model to minimize the overload, idle costs, minimize productivity changes in the cost objective function based on the minimum production cycle. The purpose is achieving minimum cost, make the optimal allocation of production systems productivity, reduce the inventory of each workstation in the production systems, to achieve a balanced production, increase production efficiency under mixed assembly line production methods. This paper established the mathematical model of production scheduling problem in the Nanhua Motor Factory assembly line workshop. genetic algorithm are used to solve the objective function in this Paper, using MATLAB to solve calculations 15 products of three different types in one MPS. Finally, a optimal solution set of the objective function is obtained.The usage of genetic algorithm can make the best decision on production Production scheduling problems. the method is still only staying at the level of mathematical theory. With the case of a production plan in Nanhua Motor Factory assembly in one MPS in a day, this paper use Flexsim to simulate the case. By comparing and analysing difference from current the plan in the Factory, this paper also test and verify effectiveness of algorithm optimal solution visually, and also provide a new path based on the simulation level on this problem, enrich the theory system of mixed model assembly line. It provides a new idea by using simulation to solve this kind of problems. Finally, this paper compares and analyses the results between undertaking production sequence and the optimal production sequence, which can creat great of influence to the cost of enterprises, play a guiding role in the production enterprises.
