Along with the social and economic development and rapid increase of motor vehicles in China, the conflicts of parking supply and demand in many cities is striking, especially in the central areas where the original parking space is not enough, and have no spare place to build new parking lot. Therefore, studying the feasibility of shared parking arrangements as a parking management tool is becoming one of the alternatives to such situations. Hotels is one of the typical land use types in the downtown area, the study of shared-parking of hotels would be benifit to the research of the regional shared parking under combination of land use conditions.The primary contributions of this paper are as follows:(1) Shared parking time window determination conditions:based on the characteristics of parking demand of hotels, this paper analyzed the parking demand fluctuation characteristics of the hotels. Based on the result of the parking demand survey, the characteristics of parking demand distribution of different hotels at different time periods are studied. In common, hotels have two high peak periods at daytime, and the demand basically remains unchanged at night. Also, the parking demand distribution of the weekend and the working day of the same hotel is different. Based on these characteristics, the shared parking time window determination conditions was given, including the judgement of the start and end time, also the length of the window.(2) Borrowing the time series model of economics to forecast the parking demand of hotels:The steps of the model construction and the evaluation method are given, and the applicability of the model is proved. This part laid the foundation for shared parking time determination.(3) In order to analysis the parking choice behaviors in the shared parking situation, the SP questionnaire was designed. Disaggregate logit model are utilized in this paper to formulate the shared-parking selection probability, the parameters of the model were analyzed. The acceptance of shared-parking is relatively high, the most significant factor of consumer choice model is the parking time t and parking price, while the t is shorter, the price is higher, the selection probability is higher. So, the adjusting of consumers’short time parking is the focus of this paper.(4) Based on the parking demand predicting model and the shared-parking choice behaviors model of hotels, on the premise of protecting the fixed parking demand of hotels, to aim at providing as many parking spaces as possible, this paper constructed the control model of shared-parking time window of hotels, calculated the sharing time window of weekday and weekend of different types of hotels, and their intersection was taken as hotels’ sharing time window, such as the short-term shared parking window (7:00,9:00) and the long-term window (22:00,7:00) under the condition of constant charge, etc. These shared parking window can be applied to the area shared parking, with other types of buildings’ parking demand peak period of matches.This paper has carried on helpful exploration about the shared-parking of a single function of land use, the research results have laid a foundation for future research on the dynamic complementary characteristics and the sharing affect of the combination of land use.
