Research On Project Management Maturity And Promote Of Construction Enterprises Based On PMO

Along with the economic globalization and increasingly fierce of market economy, more construction enterprises faced with the new management problems due to the increasing number of projects, the expansion of scale and region. The difficulty and complexity of construction enterprises management is greatly increasing. The project management is changing from single-project management to multi-project management. At present, the ability of construction enterprise project management is generally lower in our country. Most enterprises are still used to adopt the method of single-project management to manage multiple projects respectively. And the existing project management organizational structure has been built on the basis of the single or the fewer projects. With the increasing of projects which construction enterprises implement during the same period, the traditional project management organizational structure has been unable to meet the needs of multi-project project management. How to carry out project management more effectively and improve ability of the overall project management becomes a problem that needs to be solved in construction enterprise.On the basis of literature research at home and abroad, this paper proposed to build the Project Management Office in large-scale construction enterprise. The PMO coordinates and manages all projects and optimize resources standing in enterprise strategic level. The PMO provides an effective operation environment for multi-project management. Locating the PMO in large-scale construction enterprise by analyzing of the role and the main function of the PMO. Expound the PMO responsibilities in each phase of the project. This paper proposed the construction enterprise project management maturity based on the PMO. Then researched the maturity model and evaluation index system and used the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to quantitatively evaluate the project management maturity. Analyzing the promotion way of the construction enterprise project management maturity based on PMO and describing improvement strategy of each maturity level in detail. The research of this paper not only has a certain theoretical value to improve the project management system, but also has greater practical significance to achieve the construction enterprise multi-project management strategic objectives. It has enriched the research of our country construction enterprise project management maturity.
