With the actual construction, acceptance, operation and maintenance of smart substation, which found now the correlation of primary and secondary equipment in smart substation is not very high; Operation, maintenance and test personnel can not intuitively know the health of equipments, so that local defects are difficult to be quickly and accurately positioned; The status of equipment function still get by way of using artificial analysis, so that the work efficiency is not high, increased the operation and maintenance risks of smart substation.In order to solve these problems, and to further improve the current smart level of substation, this paper developed an smart substation operation and maintenance assistance system, that is smart substation integrated monitoring system. The system can capture the messages which sent by the whole station equipments, then analyze the captured packets with upper software, finally get the smart analysis results and show them out to achieve the purpose of operation and maintenance assistance. Its main functions include primary and secondary equipment running status monitoring and behavioral event monitoring, also has behavior evaluation, maintenance security,acceptance assistance, damage analysis,trend analysis and other auxiliary applications.Monitoring system is composed of software and hardware, the main work of this paper is to develop a hardware platform. The hardware platform uses Power PC architecture and equipped with Linux operating system to solve the power consumption and cooling problems which required by substation specification. The system is designed with T4240 multi-core communication cpu as the core, and designed a main control board which has capability to collect and process a large number of packets. The main control board is equipped with PCIe high-speed interface for fiber acquisition card to collect process layer messages and quipped with a Gigabit Ethernet card to collect station control layer messages, designed a large capacity solid state disk for storing messages which based on SATA interface, with DDR3 as the processor memory to provide a powerful message Analysis and processing capabilities, through carrying the keyboard?mouse and display to show the result which analyzed by upper software to achieve human-computer interaction. The innovation of this paper is that the hardware platform architecture adopts the more efficient Power architecture, which avoids the power consumption caused by the X86 architecture. The device can capture and analyze the whole station messages, it is more integrated compared with the current monitoring system; System acquisition card based on PCIe design, not only ensured the high-speed transmission, but also brought a convenient extension of system acquisition links. The hardware platform designed in this paper has been completed and successfully run, and has been assembled in ZiTie substation for field operation and commissioning, initially reached the functional indicators which set at the beginning of this paper, so it can be used as an operation and maintenance effective assistant in ZiTie substation.
