Research On Primary Design And Engineering Application Of 500kV Smart Substation

Construction of Smart Substation is an important part of smart grid, which is the top priority of the smart grid, As the transitional stage of the current conventional substation to the intelligent substation, there are many technical problems to be further practice and discussion, many advanced theory in the process toward the application still have a long road to go. This paper summarizes the experience and lessons learned from the construction of smart substation, proposes the recommended program of the current smart substation construction which combined with theoretical research and engineering application.According to the characteristics of smart substation, this paper focusing on the electrical equipment intelligent solutions and equipment condition monitoring configuration and integration scheme. Main electrical equipment selection in smart substation which is different from conventional substation were compared and analyzed.Secondly, combine with electrical primary preliminary design of 500kV Wen Ting substation, the project application research on the major sub project of the 500kV substation electrical professional is carried out. Involved in the main electrical connection, short-circuit current calculation, selection of main electrical equipment, insulation coordination and over voltage protection, over voltage calculation, distribution arrangement, lighting, lightning protection, grounding and soon.Through the analysis and demonstration, this paper has a reasonable implementation plan in this paper, which is to the selection of intelligent equipment, the selection of mutual inductor and the condition monitoring, and other part of 500kV substation design which is not affected by the intelligence.
