Study On The Spatial Planning And Design Of Small Towns

Under the new situation,China faces the developing demand of new urbanization and it needs to cope with the various pressure brought by the adjustment of economic structure.As the main force to improve the level of urbanization in China,the small towns have to uphold the scientific and rational development concept in the new urbanization construction.While trying to improve the level of their own urban construction,we should also pay attention to the organic integration of ecological and cultural characteristics.For this purpose,China's departments at all levels are calling for research related to the construction of small towns.Spatial characteristics,as an important part of the construction of small towns,has important research value.However,due to the fact that the research on the planning of small towns has been neglected for a long time,the research on spatial characteristic planning has intensively focused on the urban areas not the Space of Small Towns.Therefore,the trend creates a new chance for small town's building characteristics.Based on the above research status,this paper aims to expand the research field of spatial characteristic planning into the small town area.With the help of the structural analysis method and the research results of the existing urban spatial characteristics planning,this paper is significant to the spatial planning of small towns.Based on the spatial characteristics of small cities and towns,this paper constructs the relevant framework for the planning and design of small town 's spatial characteristics.In the case study,we selected the Xinglong Town,Jingde County and Anhui Province as the object.Using the planning and design framework constructed in this paper,we completed the investigation analysis,the layout and the design guidance of Xinglong Town and finally obtained relevant data.This reference and demonstration will make great contribution to similar small town space characteristics of the planning and design work.
