Research On The Design Strategy Of Urban Residential Block In China

Since our country carried out reform and open policy,enclosed residential area mode has been the main residential construction.Although this mode solved the demand of housing for a certain period of time,many problems and defects have been exposed.Such as the large-scale increases urban traffic congestion,the negative boundaries make the streets lose vitality,the closed space waste urban space resources,the incomplete function configuration reduces residents' life quality and the monotonous residential construction loses cities' characteristics.Based on the consideration of the above background,this paper focused on urban residential block mode which is advocated at home and abroad.This research content included four factors of this mode:function,scale,public space and architectural style.Through the analysis of these factors,in order to provide some reference for the construction of urban residential areas in our country and push the urban residential mode transforms from "the owner of the house" to "the optimal of the house".The main line of this paper is:the first chapter defined residential block and its significance,distinguished relevant concepts.The second chapter analyzed the characteristics,problems and causes of enclosed residential community.And studied the meaning,design principles and classification of residential block mode through referencing foreign residential mode.In the third chapter,the design strategies of residential block were studied from the combination of the land function and architectural functions.The fourth chapter analyzed the scale and size of residential block from the perspective of road traffic,business efficiency and the communication space.And studied the development strategy of small scale.Chapter 5 studied the public spaces of residential block from three aspects:the sequence of space,the openness and the design of the center of public space.Chapter 6 studied the diverse requirements of building contains the conditions and the design strategy of the block and building's diversity.Finally,the paper analyzed the resistance of the residential block in our country,and put forward to the progress and practice of the relevant theories.
