South-to-North Water Diversion Project is the national strategic project aiming to transport partially water from Yangtze River to alleviate water shortages of North and Northwest China. Now,north drought with south flood in China,South-to-North Water Diversion Project includes east route, middle line and west route three lines.By means of inter-basin water resources allocation, the Project promotes the harmonious development of Northern and Southern economy, society and population, resources and environment.Middle line Project diverts water from the Dan Jiang Kou Reservoir, which is the intersection of Han River and the largest tributary Danjiang River. It supplies water by gravity flow to the most area of Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, including twenty more large and medium-sized cities. This article is based on South-to-North Water Diversion Middle line Project with Tianjin city supporting project and Lunhe-Tianjin Water Diversion Project.Deeply discusses the overall pattern of water supply of Tianjin City.Separately introduces the current situation of South-to-North Water Diversion water supply distribution and Lunhe-Tianjin Water Diversion Project water supply. With the core of Tianjin City double water sources supply, regarding to guarantee the central city water supply safety and to ensure water security rate to one hundred percent as the main objective,a lot of researches are made in this article from engineering facilities, institutional framework, management mode, combined dispatching scheme and emergency disposition, etc;meanwhile,it states sufficiently the measures and plans for guaranteeing the city water supply.
