| Human beings,not only rational animals,but also emotional animals.Nowadays,with the rapid development of informational technology,the relationship between human beings becomes more and more indifferent.Furthermore,the communication between human beings is getting less and less,and pro-social behavior is getting prominent,which are precisely crucial for the social development,not mention personal development.Empathy can help people recognize and understand the character of others,promoting the relationship between people.Particular attention should be paid to pre-school children,in which the pro-social behaviors including comforting,sharing and helping others could be cultivated.These qualities could be helpful for better self-recognizing and self-accepting,contributing to the cultivation of social communication skills,improvement of their psychological quality and personal development.Therefore,it is quite mandatory to foster the capacity of empathy in pre-school children.The assistant products of empathy in pre-school children are characterized as the products that help assistant educators(i.e.parents,teachers)better cultivate the pre-school children.Excellent designing could make the communication between the educators and the children much more easier and improve the participation of educators in this process,which would contribute to the solutions to the issues of the current education.At the first stage of the present study,we retrospectively reviewed the results of studies focusing on empathy in the literature,and great attention was paid to the psychological aspect.It also includes some of the views of pro-social behavior in certain areas.Then,we systematically analyzed the results and mixed with our social practice experience.After integrating industrial design,information design,psychology and other disciplines resources,Using a case study,field survey research,thinking,research,empirical research and interdisciplinary research,we deduced a series of exploratory research on pre-school children empathy.After that,we conducted design practice on assistant products of empathy in pre-school children.Case study was conducted to illustrate the feasibility and efficacy of the design procedure deduced previously. |
