Research On BIM Application Maturity Of Owner's Project

As a pillar industry of China's economic development engine accounting for a larger proportion in GDP,the construction has been always characterized by large and weak for a long time resulted from the inefficiency of construction project management.Project management involves achieving the cost,time and quality goals through the cooperation between various partners during the project life cycle,and it will be much benefited by Building Information Model(BIM)with a series of visual model consisting of construction information which can be shared and interacted by various partners during the project life cycle.Therefore the evaluation and improvement of the BIM application in project management is quite worth researching.Firstly this paper from the perspective of the owner summarized 20 BIM specific applications in project while life cycle management including planning,design,construction and operating phrases based on the project management and BIM theories.In addition this paper using capability maturity model set up a BIM application Maturity(BIMAMM)containing three dimensions which are the object level of the BIM application grade as the first,the element level of BIM application in the 4 phrases of project life cycle management as the second and the index level of 20 BIM application summarized as the third.Furthermore this paper tested the reliability and designed the weight of BIMAMM through questionnaire design,expert investigation and data processing based on reliability theory and AHP,and standardized the evaluation BIM application steps using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory.Finally this paper selected 10 typical project cases to evaluate by BIMAMM with a conclusion that the BIM application of China's current construction projects is quite low and the balanced BIM application in the 4 phrases of project management is imperative.The research shows that the BIMAMM in this paper can be used to evaluate the BIM application in project management and put forward some specific measures to improve the BIM application and promote the informatization development of China's construction industry.
