Karl Marx once said:”When people create environment,the environment also makes people”.The dwelling environment is tightly connected with our cities,which also be regarded as the extention of urban environment and the spread of civilization.The dwelling environment is closely related to our society,which contributes to the social harmony and social stability.The dwelling environment is bound up with our citizens,which is a precondition for people's happiness index and living quality.The sense of dwelling environment belonging is from people's psychological needs,so it should be created through landscape design,facility building or other methods which could meet people's living demands,neighborhood expectation and emotional sustenance.Then,what relationship it is between living demands and community attachment? What are the correlation factors of community attachment? What characters does Handan's community building has? What advantages and disadvantages do urbanization stages have of the community attachment creation? What suggestions can we make on improving Handan's community attachment?This paper contains five chapters which give a intensive study on these question.Based on the current social phenomenon,Chapter One poses some problems related to the sense of belonging and defines the research methods and subject meaning.Chapter Two summaries the community emotion-related research both in theory and in practice,at home and abroad.In this chapter we find that there has been more and more attention on resident ' s psychological needs.Chapter Three is mainly about the relationship between community emotion and community attachment.We conclude five community emotion-related factors through studying the related theories about dwellings and community attachment.Chapter Four contains a questionnaire about the current condition and community attachment of Handan.According to the research data,we analyze Handan's typical community in different ages from those five attachment factors and make some suggestions on their corresponding improvement methods.In the final part,we give a conclusion on the present condition and future trend in Handan's community attachment creating.The thesis makes a research on attachment-related theories and Handan's community attachment conditions,and gives a conclusion on the development direction of communities in Handan as well as raises a community optimization method on the basis of attachment theories.Therefore,this paper means to attract people's attention and expectation on a real community.
