For a long time,asphalt and its mixture are the most widely used material in road engineering because of its good performance,but the asphalt and its mixture have many deficiencies in use process,such as high energy consumption,environmental pollution,health hazards,and so on.These are incompatible with today's energy conservation and environmental protection,people-oriented concept,so for a long time engineering personnel are actively looking for a kind of road binder to replace asphalt.Water-based polymer BTA(Black Top polymer Asphalt)is used for road surface of the cold mix cold spread environmental protection new materials,it's the third kind of road binder which is difference from Cement and asphalt in current world.It has many advantages,such as low consumption,good storage,small environmental pollution,convenient construction.Whether from the technical,economic or environmental considerations,actively developing water-based polymer BTA mixture preparation technology research actually has the extremely vital significance.However,the BTA mixture also has some technical problems affected its promotion use,such as excessive stiffness,loose flake and poor water stability performance.Based on the domestic and foreign polymer research results,analyzed the main reasons for water-based polymer BTA and its mixture,we use some methods,such as emulsified asphalt instead of part BTA,cement instead of part powder,adding lignin fiber,to improve BTA mixture and design one kind of new BTA mixture which accord with our code.In the study,the forming method of new BTA mixture,the condition of keeping fit and the mixture ratio of mixture were determined.Then,the performance of the new BTA mixture was evaluated in laboratory,including its high temperature stability,low temperature stability,water stability,water permeability and anti-fatigue performance.The research results show that the new BTA mixture performance has been greatly improved compared with the original BTA mixture,however,the cohesiveness and integrity of the mixture still need to be improved.Therefore,we add lignin fiber to improve the performance of the new BTA mixture,and finally get the requirements of the new BTA mixture.
