With the rapid development of China's civil aviation industry,flight flow of important airports have increased significantly and become the members of world's busy airports.To improve airport capacity and reduce delays,all the major airports have adopted multi-runways operation mode.Among them,Closely Spaced Parallel Runways(CSPR)is widely used because of its small land area and low infrastructure investment.Paired Approach(PA)mode,as a new technology used for close-running parallel runways,can improve airport capacity significantly in poor weather conditions.The safe zone of PA has important significance to ensure flight safety.Therefore,the paper focuses on the research of PA' safe zone,and the main contents are as follows:Firstly,the running status and operation standards of CSPR are compared between home and abroad to find out the shortcomings mainly from communication and navigation equipment,radar wake interval and visual interval in running rules of the multi-runways.This chapter analyzes the problems in the existing mode of operation and provides some reference for the implementation of PA mode in China.Secondly,according to the three different types of PA modes,the operation characteristics and the application are analyzed in this chapter.Taking the offset paired approach as an example,the specific duties of the air traffic controller and the pilot in operation are introduced in detail.The main factors influencing the safe zone of the paired approach are analyzed,which provides some references for determining the safe boundary.Thirdly,this chapter have built the paired approach maneuver avoidance movement model and the wake movement model.The forward model is based on the situation of the blunder turn to the route of the adjacent aircraft,and uses the differential game theory to solve the paired aircrafts' trajectories.According to the trajectories,the initial minimum longitudinal interval value can be determined.The latter model combines the wake movement process and its influencing factors to determine the influence of the wake width of the half width and lateral travel time.Finally,according to the model,the MATLAB simulation program is written in this chapter.It gives the minimum longitudinal interval 233 meters and the maximum longitudinal interval 2233 meters in the final approach phase based on the data from Hong Qiao airport.At the same time,the front boundary of the collision avoidance decreases as the runway spacing decreases and the rear boundary of the wake avoidance is reduced under the influence of unfavorable crosswind and ground effect.The results of the operation are compared with those of foreign scholars,which verified the rationality of the results and determined the safe zone of paired approach mode.
