With the deepening of railway freight reform,the transformation of railway freight to modern logistics has become the development trend.However,most of the current railway freight yards which were designed and constructed by a traditional method,have many problems in the functional area division and layout.This paper takes full account of the extension of railway freight yard function to the modern logistics,combines with the needs of railway operations,integrates the modern logistics concept into the design of freight yard,and improves the freight yard traditional design method to adapt to the transformation and development of the railway freight.The main research work of the paper includes:First of all,the paper analyzes the design process and existing problems of the traditional design method of the railway freight yard,and explores the influence of modern logistics development on railway freight transportation,freight yard operation and freight yard design,and clarifies the main contents of freight yard design under the modern logistics condition.Then,the design flow of railway freight yard under the modern logistics condition is proposed according to the method of MSFLB,which includes market study,strategic positioning,functional design,layout design and business plan.On this basis,it deeply studies freight yard functional planning and layout design.Through discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the common methods of the facility layout,this paper chooses to combine the Systematic Layout Planning with the System Handling Analysis to arrange the functional areas,according to the characteristics of the railway freight yard under the modern logistics condition.It takes minimizing the total cost of cargo handling and maximizing the comprehensive correlation between the functional areas as two goals,and builds a multi-objective programming mathematical model which solved by the genetic algorithm.It evaluates the result from the use of resources,adapting to the social environment,adapting to the natural environment,logistics system efficiency,freight yard development conditions and operational safety,and improves the layout of the program according to the cargo handling analysis,freight yard internal road planning and traffic organization,so that the layout of the internal environment of the yard can be better connected with the external environment.Finally,with the Huanggang freight yard in Shaoguan as an example,this paper uses the improved MSFLB method to carry out the overall design of the freight yard.And the SLP +SHA method is used to qualitatively analyze the design elements of the freight yard,quantitatively analyze the freight volume of the freight yard,divide the freight yard into functional areas,explore the logistics relationship and non-logistics relationship among the different functional areas,obtain the layout program of the freight yard with the solution of mathematical models.Through analyzing and demonstrating of the rationality of thefunctional area layout,and improving the internal traffic of the freight yard,it determines the optimal layout scheme,which proves the rationality and validity of the freight yard layout method proposed in this paper.
