Automated drilling riveting is an important part of the aircraft assembly process, riveting quality and efficiency directly determines the quality and efficiency of aircraft assembly. The riveting process is a complex process of elasto-plastic deformation of the metal, which will inevitably produce residual stresses and deformations within the connecting assembly. For the aircraft wall panels of weak rigid thin-walled pieces, tens of thousands of drilling and riveting process caused by the overall deformation of the wall can not be ignored. However, riveting deformation is a very complex nonlinear process, with the increase in the number of rivets,deformation analysis of the manpower and time costs have increased dramatically. Therefore, it is very important to study and establish an equivalent model which can accurately analyze and simulate the riveting deformation of aircraft wall panels to predict and control the deformation of aircraft wallboard assembly. In this paper, the accurate calculation method of the size of the pier head after riveting riveting is put forward. The elasto-plastic theory analysis and finite element analysis of the deformation of the single rivet riveting process are carried out. Based on the rapid and accurate prediction of the riveting deformation of rivets,Finally,the validity and practicability of the equivalent model are verified by the research of the riveting deformation test..The first chapter describes the wide application of riveting in aircraft assembly, and the current situation of common riveting technology and automatic drilling and riveting technology at home and abroad, introduces the practical engineering significance of the research on the deformation of aircraft skin riveting process, and draws up the research contents. Finally, the structure of the paper is given.The second chapter mainly introduces the types of riveting, analyzes the principle of automatic drilling and riveting process, which provides qualitative basis for later quantitative analysis. The influencing factors of riveting quality, and analytical methods of riveting deformation and compensation methods are introduced individually.In the third chapter, through the analysis of elasto - plastic theory, the precise calculation formula of the heading size is put forward,and the relationship between the interference amount and the residual stresses around the riveted hole is analyzed. The pattern of the distribution of residual stresses riveted is put forward, and the corresponding expression is given.In the fourth chapter, the finite element analysis of the single hole riveting process is carried out to verify the corresponding theoretical expression,and the reason of. the error is analyzed. And an equivalent model based on temperature field for porous riveting is proposed.The deformation coefficient is derived from the plastic radius and displacement calculated from single hole.In the fifth chapter, the experiment is carried out by using the automatic drilling riveting machine developed by Zhejiang University Advanced Technology Research Institute,and the accuracy of the equivalent model is verified, and an additional simulation is made to compare with other experiments.Chapter 6 presents the conclusions and analyzes the detects of the study with suggestions for future works.
