| Riveting is widely used for connecting parts in aircraft manufacturing industry. The traditional manual riveting is gradually being replaced by automatic riveting machine, because of its unstable quality, high labor intensity and low efficiency. Panel assembly is a typical structure of aircraft assembly; its structure is relatively simple and open, which is accessible to automatic riveting. Therefore, it is a practical significance to apply automatic riveting in panel assembly.In this paper, riveting process is developed for panel assembly according to principle and structure of the 5-axis auto riveting machine(GRS6R30-96) of SACC; general plan of full automatic riveting to panel assembly is established on the basis of analysis of auto riveting machine and 5-axis NC carriage system and actual characteristics of the product, combining with solutions of each step. Research and development of a set auto riveting tooling is completed according to structural feature of panel assembly of a certain type of aircraft. The tooling is simple and effective. It solves the turn angle limit of 5-axis auto riveting machine. NC program of GRS6R30-96 5 axis machine is developed based on CATIA and its secondary development platform and Visual Basic, it realizes auto fitting between riveting point of panel assembly and riveting position of auto riveting machine, and auto measurement of running position auto carriage; it also realizes auto control to carriage running on Siemens 840 D control system. All of these contribute to realization of full automatic riveting of panel assembly.Many times repeatedly test running demonstrates that it can bring us shorter auto riveting time and higher utilization efficiency of the equipment. |
