With the continuous development of China's economy, and the demand of domestic railway passenger is increasing constantly, leading to the development trend of market demand of high-speed train's bogie is rapid,large-scale and customized. The platform technology is an important method to solve the problem of how to deliver the order on time,ensuring quality and quantity, and how to reuse the existing resources effectively. In consideration of the requirements of scientific research projects and the problems faced by the enterprises, this paper studies the construction and application of the modular platform of the bogie. The main contents are as follows:(1) Discuss the necessity and feasibility of carrying out modular product platform for the high-speed train's bogie, and construct the technical route of construction of modular product platform for bogie. The relationship among the related key technologies are discussed, including the module partition , the identification of platform elements , the analysis of module relation, the expression of platform data model and so on.(2) Research on module partition technology for product platform, analyzing the correlation between parts and constructing parts' comprehensive correlation matrix from three aspects: function, physics and geometry. The objective criterion function is constructed by coupling and cohesion combining the module partition matrix, and the module clustering division of bogie through the genetic algorithm.(3) Research on the construction technology of modular platform for bogie, on the basis of module partition, using the quantitative index of modular variation (MVI) and index of change propagation (CPI), respectively represent the impact strength of the customer requirements on the module and propagating among modules. The modules are divided into three types: basic module, configurable module and variant module by comprehensive analysis of MVI and CPI. According to the identified module type, analyzing the design logic of modular product platform and establishing the data model of modular product platform.(4) Research on the application technology of modular platform for bogie, according to the data model of modular product platform, the application process of the modular product platform is established combining with configuration design, variant design and parametric design.Based on the research of the construction and application of modular product platform,developing the prototype application system of modular product platform for bogie, thus the customization and agile design of high-speed train's bogie is realized, and the previous design resources are reused effectively.
