With the rapid growth of China's economy and the continuous advancement of urbanization, rail transit industry is developing rapidly. The escalator project is an important part of city rail traffic project, which has large capital investment, high technical requirement, high risk of construction and wide safety influence. However, due to its excessive growth and lack of construction experience, safety accidents of the project occur from time to time in recent years, which has brought huge losses to national economy. This study takes the escalator project of Ningbo Rail Transit Line 3 as the object of research, and focuses on risk management of the whole process.Firstly,it summarizes the basic theories of risk management, the management procedure and the research status.Secondly,it analyzes the general situation of the engineering and characters of the project. With the method of brainstorming,it also analyzes and identifies the risk factors of the project.According to frequency and severity of risk,it evaluates the risk factors and gets the risk level of each risk factor by using expert scoring method and matrix method. Finally, after all risks has been evaluated,it analyzes the high level risk factors in details, and takes concrete measures.Through the research on the risk management about escalator project of Ningbo Rail Transit Line 3,it can be found that the main factors that affect the safety of escalator engineering are the personal safety of construction workers and the quality of project construction.By strengthening the management of the project, especially improving the safety system, standardizing the acceptance process and promoting standardized management,it achieves the goal of safe, high quality and efficient project management in Ningbo Rail Transit Line3.
