With the rapid development of science and technology,the proportion of the use of electronic information weapon and equipment is increasing gradually.These weapons and equipment influence each other,so electromagnetic environment of the battlefield becomes more complex.Besides as the rapid development of electromagnetic environment simulation technology,simulation situation shifts gradually from themountains to the cities,from outdoor to indoor and traditional complex electromagnetic environment simulation software has been unable to meet the requirements of urban battlefield electromagnetic environment simulation.To solve this problem,we design and develop a kind of hybrid electromagnetic environment simulation system which is based on terrain.The system adapts the ray tracing algorithm considering the buildings,and because of the independence of the radiation sources in ray tracing algorithm we adapt the parallel system to solve the time consuming problem.Using MFC,OSG,Unity3D and other computer technology,we take the urban battlefield environment as the research objective,design and implement the hybrid simulation system.The main research work of this paper is as follows:1.The related knowledge of the system is introduced,such as the ray tracing algorithm,the electric wave propagation mechanism and the mainstream DEM data format and so on.Then the overall structure and design of the system,the scheme selection in the development of building blocks,and the main function and operation of the key modules of the system is introduced.2.The DEM file format conversion algorithm is proposed in order to take into account both the authenticity of the terrain and the efficiency of calculation.3.The material selection window is designed and implemented in view of the different wall materials,a large number of common materials is provided for users,and at the same time users can add custom materials according to personal requirements.4.The intersection of the electromagnetic wave and the building wall of different materials is studied,including the total reflection,all refraction,etc.5.The triangulation of the construction wall is studied,so that it is compatible with the terrain triangulation information,and the problem of the intersection of buildings and terrain is solved very well.
