According to the present situations of three-level passenger station in the small and medium-sized cities, one evaluation model of service system reliability for three-level passenger station was built. Taking Huangdao station as an example, the reliability levels of its service subsystem were attained and then this paper analyzed the existing problems in the system and put forward the optimization scheme. The optimization scheme was to be testified the feasibility. Therefore, this paper's conclusions included as follow:(1) This paper analyzed the influence factors which can impress the system reliability of three-level passenger station, and granted the weights to the each subsystem. A convenient evaluation model of service system reliability for three-level passenger station was built.(2) Taking Huangdao station as an example, the population densities of ticket service system, auto- ticket service system, security check service system, and ticket check service system were ?1=1.25 p/m2 ??2=2.9 p/m2??3=1.5 p/m2 and ?4=1.25 p/m2 respectively by using the mathematics analytic. And their correspondent reliability levels are III, II,III and IV. The population simulation densities in the different time and people flow were attained by using Anylogic software. According to the correlation of service system density and its reliability level, their reliability levels were also determined. Especially, the reliability levels of service subsystem in the mathematical analytical method and simulation analysis were consistent when t = 3600 s, and ?=500 p/h. The reliability level of the whole system in the three-level passenger station was I. With more and more people arrived at the station, the distribution ability of three-level passenger station was becoming poor. Individual began to wait in the service subsystem, even queued and gathered.(3) This paper analyzed the current problems in the Huangdao passenger station service system and put forward the optimization scheme. The optimization scheme was to be testified the feasibility. The population densities of ticket service system, auto- ticket service system,security check service system were ?1=1.02 p/m2??2=0.75 p/m2??3=0.89p/m2. Each population density of service system appeared to drop considerably. The population density of waiting area was 2.25 p/m2, but the duration of staying in the station shorted 311.5 s and the distribution capacity increased significantly, which can meet the needs of short-term big passenger flow.
