Study On The Evolvement Of Urban Spatial Structure In The Transitional Period Of Huangshi City

The number of resource-based cities in China is vast? widely distributed and the historical contribution is huge. At present, most resource-based cities in China have entered the stage of recession or transformation, promoting the transformation of resource-degraded cities and get out of the development dilemma has become difficult. Based on the research of general evolution law of spatial structure of resource-based city, based on the research of the evolvement of urban spatial structure in Huangshi during the historical period, and the evolution of Huangshi spatial structure as the main research content. The conclusion is drawn that the evolution of urban spatial structure in Huangshi's socio-economic transformation process.Resource-based cities are characterized by typical life-cycle characteristics. The evolution of urban spatial structure is influenced by natural resources, topography, road traffic, industrial economy and urban planning, it has the overall structure loose, urban and rural land cross, construction land structure imbalance characteristics. The centralized type is divided into centralized and decentralized type, centralized type is divided into concentrated lump type and concentrated band type, decentralized type is divided into a main and more vice-type, multi-center group type. The evolution of the spatial structure of resource-based cities generally takes place in the following stages: the start phase (Point shape), the growth phase (Near - field extension), the maturity phase (Jump expansion), the recession or transition period (Internal padding or Update).The development of Huangshi is depends on the mineral resources and metallurgical industry, its spatial structure evolution has typical characteristics of resource-based cities.The spatial pattern of Huangshi is influenced by mineral resources, natural landscape basement, resource-based industries and road traffic. Its overall spatial pattern has undergone the town along the river, the adjacent mine point, the belt along the river, around the lake group development, from the point-like morphology evolved into a single center group of space structure.Huangshi is still in the transformation of urban development, still maintain a single center group of space structure, while its external and internal space structure is evolving.The development of urban spatial structure is confronted with the obvious characteristics of industrial resource, the limitation of urban spatial expansion, the chaos of industrial structure and the internal and external road traffic system, and with the characteristics of decentralization, agglomeration, production and hybridization. Based on the analysis of the successful cases of resource-based cities, the optimization strategies of spatial structure evolution are put forward from the aspects of the transformation of economic structure of resource-based industries, the choice of urban spatial expansion, the adjustment of internal functional layout and the optimization of road traffic. At last, the author makes a tentative study on the evolution of urban spatial structure of Huangshi in the transitional period from two aspects of trans-mountain development and urban development, and puts forward that conception of the multi-center group urban space structure of "the city-mountain-Shannan"and the "Tuchengshan-Luoqiao".
