With the gradual advancement of urbanization,the construction of housing has been greatly increased,and the important position of the wall material has become more and more prominent.However,there are many problems such as high energy consumption and short life span of insulation materials in our country,so it is of great significance to study the new wall materials.The shale fired block masonry with rectangular hole is studied in this paper.The block has advantage of energy saving,waste utilization,good insulation,strong durability and fire resistance,small shrinkage,and buildings with life etc.It can solve the wall short life,inflammable,not safety and other technical problems,and has good application value and market prospect.In this paper,the experimental study on the axial compressive property,shear performance and behavior under combined compressive and shear of the masonry block are carried out:(1)Experimental study on the compressive strength of shale fired block masonry with rectangular holeThe compressive failure characteristic and failure mechanism of shale fired block masonry with rectangular hole was obtained by the compressive experiment on this masonry;The calculation formula of the average value of compressive strength,the standard value and the design value of compressive strength,the stress-strain relationship expression,the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio of this masonry were given.Also,the influence factors of compressive failure strength of block masonry with rectangular hole were analyzed.(2)Experimental study on the shear behavior of the shale fired block masonry with rectangular holeThe shear failure characteristic of the masonry was obtained by the pure shear test.The calculation formula of the average value of shear strength was put forward;the standard value and the design value of shear strength for this masonry were suggested.The influence factors of shear strength of block masonry with rectangular hole were analyzed.(3)Experimental study on the combined compressive and shear composite of shale fired block masonry with rectangular holeThe combined compressive and shear failure characteristic of the masonry was obtained by t shear-compressive composite test on this masonry.The correlative curve of combined compressive and shear was given;The calculation formula of the average value,the standard value,the design value of combined compressive and shear strength for the shale fired block masonry with rectangular hole were put forward.The basic mechanical performance of shale fired block masonry with rectangular hole were mastered by the experimental study on the compressive strength,shear strength,shear-compression composite test of this masonry,which provide basic mechanical experimental data for the theoretical basis for the popularization of this kind of block and the setting of relevant specifications for the shale fired block masonry.
